How to edit and bury cards in a study session
A guide on how you can edit or bury flashcards — these actions allow you to modify a flashcard or hide a flashcard while in the middle of a study session.
During a study session, you might encounter flashcards that you don’t have to study anymore or contain a mistake. You don’t have to exit the whole study session to edit a flashcard or bury/hide them! You can do it the moment you encounter the card while you’re studying them simply by pressing the three dotted button to the right of the 1-4 confidence rating scale on the bottom of the screen. Once this is opened, you will see a menu pop up with two options — bury flashcard, and edit flashcard. 📖🎉
Bury flashcard 🙈
If you select bury card, the card will be hidden from your flashcard deck and won’t appear in future study sessions! This is good for when you are completely sure you’ve memorized the selected flashcard and would like to spend more time on cards that you might not know as well.
This function allows you to temporarily "remove" a flashcard from your study sessions without deleting the card, letting you to make your study sessions more effective by temporarily hiding less crucial flashcards so that your study session will be more focused and efficient. 💪
Edit flashcard 🤓
You might encounter mistakes on flashcards while you’re studying them, or want to add more information to a card. In this case, you can select “edit flashcard” and you will be able to edit your flashcard from scratch! You can change the text, add pictures or diagrams, utilize AI to help, and so on. You’ll have the same options as you did when you first created the flashcard. This is useful because you don’t have to completely exit a study session to make changes to the card… instead you can edit your flashcard right in the middle of a study session, saving yourself a lot of time.
We added these two options into your study sessions so that your study session can be both effortless and seamless. We hope you will find these two tools useful and if you have any more suggestions, let us know! 🤓📚
